The Eternity Game
Every time the master’s hands touch the material: wood, metal, clay, concrete, their unhurried conversation begins — hidden images of familiar and unknown worlds and epochs appear on the surface. He is here — in early Christianity, with a Languedoc cross and an Aztec tortoise with a print of a space telescope on its shell, and decorations, woven from electronic microcircuit.

No sketches, just the image. Its jazz improvisation of bronze plates and hammer, chisel and nut stick, metal brush and cutters in cement crease.
These works should be touched, brought closer to the eyes, running through thousands of rhythmic carvings.

A creative team of like-minded people (videographer, composer, stage designer, light designer) created this immersive exhibition, inspired by the work of Shakhoyan.
This is a magnifying glass that allows you to see in detail the many-sided works of the artist, to immerse deeply into the world of his images, to feel his interaction with the material, to dissolve in the game with eternity.

Process to create materials from real object
with photos
I draw with brushes and curves on photos to make specular, reflection, height, normal and bump maps

Lava material workflow
base, normal, emissive and height map was created in Substance Designer
then I animated it in Cinema 4d directly

Water material workflow
I made a video footage of real water on the surface as close as possible to the mask material. Then I put water footage to the mask in Adobe After Effects

Render and compositing process
almost identical for each scene

Physical simulation
in Cinema 4D

Special music for atmosphere
by Roman Chernikh

The mask for 3D video mapping
was created from styrofoam
